Stop rebuilding the same invoice every month

If you bill the same customer on a schedule — a retainer, a service contract, a subscription — set it up once in BizFlare and let it run.

Included on the Starter plan and above — see pricing for plan details.

Retainers, service contracts and subscriptions all share the same problem: the invoice is almost identical every time, but rebuilding it manually each billing period wastes time and leaves room for a wrong amount or a missed month. A recurring schedule in BizFlare is set up once and then runs itself.

Set a Schedule, Not a Reminder

Choose a customer, the line items and amount, and a frequency — weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly — and BizFlare generates and sends the invoice automatically on schedule from then on. This is different from a calendar reminder telling you to go create an invoice; the invoice itself is created and emailed without you touching it.

GST, ABN and branding carry through every time

Every invoice a recurring schedule generates goes through the same GST calculation and carries the same ABN and branding as a one-off invoice — nothing is simplified or stripped out for automation's sake.

Pause, Edit or Cancel Any Time

A client going on hold for a month, a price change partway through a contract, a retainer that's ending — none of these need you to delete and rebuild the schedule. Pause it, edit the amount or line items, or cancel it outright, and the change applies from the next generated invoice onward.

A Customer Needs an Email on File

Since a recurring invoice is meant to be sent automatically, BizFlare requires the customer to have an email address before you can turn on auto-email for a schedule — otherwise invoices would generate with nowhere to go. You'll see a clear warning if you try to set up auto-email for a customer without one, rather than the invoice silently failing to send.

Full History of Every Generated Invoice

Each recurring schedule keeps a record of every invoice it has generated — so you can see the full billing history for that retainer or contract in one place, not scattered across your general invoice list.
